The developer of Pickleball Point Keeper, Peter Dinardi (CEO of Pickleball Point Keeper LLC), is a devotee of the game of Pickleball who enjoys the competitive and social aspects of the sport. Although the excitement of Pickleball was apparent from the beginning, Peter was frustrated with the long delays and debates over scoring that distracted from the play time and enjoyment. He understood the importance of the rules including the unique scoring requirements but believed that scoring was more mechanical and could be captured without testing the patience and memories of the players. In designing a successful prototype, standalone scoring watch (Pickleball Scoring Watch), Peter extended the principles and logic to an Apple Watch application with the same great features. Pickleball Point Keeper allows the user to keep score, serving team, serving side and server while displaying the required three number score. With simple touches to add score on a recognizable pickleball court, a player can concentrate on playing a great game of pickleball rather than be distracted with those frustrating questions: what is the score, was the server 1 or 2 and who just served.
